Druid City Derby Adult On Skates Recruitment Night
This is the perfect chance to find out if roller derby is the sport for you and to get to know our DCD family! Our league is open gender and there's no "try out" to pass, you just need to show up, introduce yourself, and give it a shot! We’re looking for skaters, refs, and non-skating officials and there is absolutely no prior skating or roller derby experience needed to join. Meet us at Super Skate at 5900 McFarland Blvd E, Tuscaloosa, AL 35405 at 7pm on January 15, 2025, ready to put on some skates and learn the basics! Free to attend with $5 skate rentals available, but you will need full gear (helmet, elbow and knee pads, and wrist guards) to join us on the rink with loaner gear available. RSVP on Facebook today!

Join us on skates at Tuscaloosa’ Super Skate at 5900 McFarland Blvd E, Tuscaloosa, AL 35405 on January 13 and 15, 2025, 6-8pm. Our junior team is open gender and there's no "try out" to pass, you just need to show up, introduce yourself, and give it a shot! We’re looking for kids and teens ages 10-17 and there is absolutely no prior skating or roller derby experience needed to join. Juniors are required to be in full gear to skate during recruitment which includes helmet, wrist guards, elbow pads, and knee pads; we have loaner gear free to try out and $5 skate rentals will be available. 48th Annual West Alabama Christmas Parade
Come out to see us in person or catch us on WVUA for Tuscaloosa’s 48th Annual Christmas Parade in Downtown Tuscaloosa! We’ll be the kids, teens, and adults on skates and we give out a lot of high fives!
Jingle Bell Brawl Unsanctioned Junior Tournament
Our Druid City Daredevils and Birmingham’s Steel City Slayers are co-hosting an unsanctioned junior roller derby tournament December 7 and 8th at Irondale Civic Center located at 3521 Ratliff Rd, Irondale, AL 35210. This tournament will feature six teams comprised of mixed genders aged 10-18 including Druid City Daredevils and Steel City Slayers with visiting teams Red Stick Roller Derby Juniors, Nashville Roller Derby Nashvillians Juniors, Midwest All Stars Junior Roller Derby, and Atlanta Junior Roller Derby.
Tickets will be available at the door. $15 per day, $25 for the weekend!
Fall Frenzy
Our Fall Frenzy mixed scrimmage is back in 2024! Junior and adult skaters from other leagues will have the opportunity to sign up for games as we near this date. More information to come!

Join us for a triple header on April 27th at the Bobby Miller Center in Tuscaloosa! Druid City Derby's adult team will face off against Peach State, our Daredevils will take on Red Stick Juniors, and the Steel City Slayers will battle it out with the Ruby Regulators from Chattanooga.
2024 Season Opener: Triple Header
Druid City Derby is excited to kick off the 2024 season with a triple header at the Bobby Miller Center in Tuscaloosa! Join us for an action-packed day of roller derby as our adult team faces off against Montgomery, Level 2 Daredevils and the Steel City Slayers skate in a mixed scrimmage, and our Level 3 Daredevils go head-to-head with a TBD opponent.
